Paulette Warwick

My collection is an exploration of metals and movement. Each chain manipulation is created to be a statement piece with weight and presence. The necklaces especially are worn by men or women. I use silver to hammer and mold lengths of wire, along with occasional stainless steel accents. Using a series of ancient weaves and suspended rings allows me to experiment with balance and space. The simple process of making chain can be expanded into a practice of creating pieces that have a strength and power by their very nature. I care for all of my works using a simple paste of white toothpaste and water, formed into a paste and rubbed into the metal. I then rinse off all traces of the paste and dry thoroughly. It’s simple and effective.
