Alexandria painter, Niki Pickett works on large canvasses interpreting floral landscapes. Using loose brush strokes and exciting colors of pinks, purples, blues, and greens, she strives to capture the essence ofa lush flower garden or the flowers themselves.
Niki received her BA degree in Art from the University of Iowa. She has studied with Washington, D.C. artists Ralph de Burgos and Paul Reed. Niki has exhibited and won several prizes for her work including the Art League, Fairfax County Council of the Arts, Vienna Society of Artists and the Arts Club of Washington. Her paintings are part of numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States and internationally. She is one of the original artists at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA and maintains her studio there.
