My approach to paintings is to compile small squares into the push and pull of contrasting passages to achieve unexpected visual rhythms. I embrace the tension of chaos and control. Lines and colors are the two important elements in my painting. They engage me in reaching the emotional depth to my work. I paint mostly in acrylic and mixed media on paper and pasted on canvas as small as 5x5 and as large as 60x120.
