Torpedo Factory Artists™ COVID-19 Pandemic Statement – UPDATE

UPDATE: March 20, 2020 The City of Alexandria has closed the Torpedo Factory Art Center to the public through May 17, 2020 - Torpedo Factory Artists™ can still access their studios so reach out to your favorite artists to inquire about viewing artwork and sales - The TFAA Membership Jury has been suspended until at least the fall. Stay tuned for further updates - Our summertime Visiting Artists Program (VAP) will not take place this year, however you can check with the Alexandria City Government to inquire about their plans for residencies.

Torpedo Factory Artists™ COVID-19 Pandemic Statement

Although the Torpedo Factory Art Center is still open to the public as of Saturday March 14, you will find many closed artist studios and galleries throughout the building. The Torpedo Factory Artists' Association has encouraged our artist members who are concerned about the health and safety of their families and their communities to make that their priority and close their studios if and when they feel it is in their best interest, regardless of the building being open. We all love art, but we love our artists, their families and our great community more! Many artists applied for hardship leave and the length of their absence will depend upon this fluid and evolving situation. Reach out, stay in touch and keep up to date with your favorite artists of the Torpedo Factory Artists' Association on all our social media sites. 🎨 Regarding Torpedo Factory Artists™ @Mosaic: The Mosaic District is still open however we want our artists to staff the Satellite Space ONLY if they feel comfortable doing so. We will strive to keep open hours but it will be unpredictable for the next few weeks. Stay safe and healthy everyone!
